SOME of the biggest 80s, 90s and noughties music stars including Ocean Colour Scene and The Human League will be coming to Cholmondeley Castle this summer.

The line-up for the 2024 Deva Fest, taking place inside the grounds of the south Cheshire castle, was revealed over the weekend with organisers saying it was its ‘best yet’.

The Human League will be playing the festival, which runs from Thursday, August 8 until Sunday, August 11, and are joined on the bill by Ocean Colour Scene, The Coral, Toyah Wilcox, Sleeper, and East 17, among others.

This year, Deva Fest is introducing a fourth night to the festival, Thursday, August 8 and Phil Marston, founder of Deva Fest, admitted he was delighted.

He said: “We’re so excited Deva Fest is back at Cholmondeley Castle for 2024.

“After the huge success last year, we didn’t think we’d be able to top it, but we’re confident this is our best line-up yet.

“We’re delighted to have already sold thousands of tickets in our pre-sale and it’s great to see so many people will be returning to the festival for the fourth time.

“Deva Fest aims to bring you a festival that has top quality musicians and comedians, fantastic street food and drink from local vendors, and entertainment the whole family can enjoy together.

“Our free-to ride fairground is returning once again as is the Sailor’s Rest with a residency from popular Sea Shanty band Old Time Sailors, and there’s a wider range of ticket and payment options available to make the festival even more accessible to all.”

Friday features rising Country/pop star Harleymoon Kemp, electronic duo Utah Saints and Symphonic Ibiza are back for 2024.

The unmistakable rock/indie sounds of The Coral will complete Friday’s headliners with the ultimate crowd pleasers such as ‘Pass it On’ and ‘Dreaming of You’.

Saturday is set to showcase pop classics, with the tribute band, Oasis Ltd, and The Amy Winehouse Band will be reimagining the great singer’s work with her original musicians.

Brit pop boy band East-17 will bring the 90s tunes back, and X-Factor starlet, Rebecca Ferguson, will be singing her smash hits such as ‘Nothing’s Real but Love’, ‘Glitter and Gold’ and ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’.

The Human League, the band behind a series of iconic ‘80s anthems such as ‘Don’t You Want Me’, ‘Together in Electric Dreams’ and ‘Human’ will finish the Saturday night lineup with a bang!

Festival favourites, Foo Fighterz, will return on Sunday as well as a performance from Award Winning Blues/Rock band When Rivers Meet.

Brit Pop legends Sleeper will play along with punk princess Toyah Willcox & husband Robert Fripp, rocking out the big top with some classics.

Ocean Colour Scene will bring the festival to a close with the soundtrack to the ‘90s including ‘The Day we Caught the Train’, ‘The Riverboat Song’, and ‘Hundred-Mile-High City’.
