Whitchurch were once again punished as bogey team Hereford claimed a 25-22 win in the Regional Two West Midlands League on Saturday.
Whitchurch have a history with Hereford where they normally win at home and lose away.
The two hour drive to Hereford took its toll on the Whitchurch boys as they were left dozing as Hereford ran in a quick try after the sixth minute.
Whitchurch awoke from their slumber and Nathan Horton crossed the line to equal the score.
However two more quick tries were executed by Hereford to take the score to 15-5.

Whitchurch were once again stirred and speed merchant James Marvel ran home a try before fullback Tom Skone levelled matters with a try before the break.

Jack Furnival scored a fine try early in the second half, with Danny Nicholas converting as Whitchurch led for the first time.
Whitchurch looked set to take the game to Hereford but instead paid the price for their indiscipline.

Whitchurch had only 12 players on the field at one point and Hereford took advantage of this and scored another converted try kicking before regaining the lead with a penalty as the north Shropshire side learned a valuable lesson on the road.

Meanwhile new coach Steve Brown has shared why he chose Whitchurch over several other offers in the summer.
He said: “I chose Whitchurch due to their commitment to their players and the community. They believe in the same ethos as myself – player first, player centered. I use a mixture of ‘ask and delegate’ which I learned from Graham Henry while coaching in New Zealand, it has served us both well.”
