BONFIRES burning close to the A41 and creating visibility issues for drivers were extinguished by firefighters in Prees on Sunday night.
One crew from the village was sent to Higher Heath around 10pm on Sunday night to put out the two bonfires.
Firefighters used a hosereel jet to put out the bonfires and a stop signal was sent to control around 45 minutes later, confirming no further support was needed.
