THE biggest car park in Wem has turned out to be the town’s biggest producer of penalty notice charges (PCNs) over the last five years.
In figures obtained from Shropshire Council, the hotspots for PCNs from 2018 until May 2023 have shown that as a major car park in the town, Aston Street/High Street car park saw the most tickets issued.
There were 532 PCNs issued for the car park with the majority in 2018, 2019 and for the Covid-19 affected 2020.
