A WHITCHURCH surveyor is celebrating after completing a year in business in the town.
Validus Property Consultants Ltd has completed a successful year of carrying out residential and commercial surveys and valuations throughout north Shropshire and Cheshire since the opening of their new office in 2023.
Based in Corser House in Green End, Whitchurch, the office is headed by Melissa Hastie, a director and registered chartered surveyor, with the sole aim of offering ‘a common sense approach to surveying in the region’.

The business was founded in 2012 by Chris Armstrong, who is managing director at the company’s head office in St Asaph, Denbighshire.
He said: “The opening of the new office 12 months ago has been a great achievement for the company.
“We provide all forms of residential and commercial property surveys, including new build snagging reports, together with valuations for pension schemes, probate and matrimonial, across North Wales, Cheshire, Wirral and Shropshire.
“Melissa has been working in both commercial and residential property over the past 10 years, most recently at a surveying firm in Chester, having been elected as a professional member of the RICS in 2020.
