AUDLEM Village Fete played host to members of South Cheshire Model Engineering Society last week.

The fete, held on Turnpike Field, included a grand auction, raffle, dog show, tombola, barbecue, drinks tent, and various stalls.

Gerald Newbrook, chairman of South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, said they were delighted to be there.

He said: “We had a lot of interest from visitors and it was a really enjoyable event.

“Thank you to members who provided their models and also those who manned the display, giving out leaflets advertising The Peacock Railway.”

The South Cheshire Model Engineering Society’s display was situated under their recently acquired gazebo and was made up of examples of steam locomotives in various scales, from 5-inch gauge to the smaller Gauge 1 (45mm).
