AN AWARD-winning singer is coming to Whitchurch this week.

On Thursday, Whitchurch is being visited by Joe Gibney, recently chosen as Male Vocalist of the Year by Ireland Tonight Radio Music Awards.

He is playing with his band The Jeremiahs at The Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre based at Sir John Talbot's School, at 8pm.

The show is being organised by North Shropshire Folk with a spokesman confirming that the band is returning to the town.

“This is a welcome return by the Jeremiahs,” they said.
