Emergency services have been called to a crash on a main road out of Whitchurch.

West Mercia Police and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene after a crash between two vehicles on the A525 near Broughall this morning (December 3).

The collision, which took place in this morning’s snowy conditions, involved a car and a light goods vehicle, leading to disruption on the road.

According to the North Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood team, who are a part of West Mercia Police, the road remains open but they are advising drivers to “pass with care”.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “At 05:55 on Sunday, December 3 Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Whitchurch.

The Road traffic collision involved one light goods vehicle and one vehicle. No persons were trapped and crews have assisted with moving one car off the road to a safe place.

“Three fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Prees, Wellington and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.”
