Wem's favourite festive charity run returns on December 17, rolling into town for a fourth year.

Benefitting the Wem Store Cupboard, the Christmas wheelbarrow pub fun run has become an annual fixture on the town's calendar.

The event is set to take place on Sunday, December 17, with a meeting time at 11.40am at Edinburgh House Car Park for 12 pm start.

Two is the magic number with a pair needed per barrow; teams can switch the driver and passenger roles as they see fit.

A minimum donation of £5 is requested but for under 16s, entry is just £3.

Contestants stand a chance to win prizes for Best Dressed Adult, Best Dressed Child, Best Decorated Barrow, and First Team of Two home to the White Lion.

Filled with festive spirit, all participants and their barrows must be dressed to match the holiday theme.

The rules insist on a half pint being consumed at each pub, and official cards must be marked by the event Marshal before participants can carry on.

The route is non-negotiable, leading participants through a string of pubs until reaching the White Lion finish line.

Lastly, don't miss the entry deadline of 2pm on December 16 at the Fruitful Deli or register on the day.
