A BOAT service is still going strong for the summer with plenty of visitors so far.

The 'Audlem Lass' boat ferry service operates on the Shropshire Union Canal between Audlem's Lock 15 (near The Shroppie Fly Pub) and the Overwater Marina.

Jonathan White, on behalf of the service, says the ferry service is running all the way until the end of October and hopes people continue to use it.

He said: “The Audlem Lass is operated by a team of volunteers and runs on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from the start of April to the end of October, from 10am to 5pm.

“In April and October, it is 10.30am to 4.30pm but timings may vary due to weather and circumstances.
