PLANS to celebrate the upcoming coronation of King Charles will be top of the agenda when Whitchurch Town Council meets later this week.
The meeting at the Civic Centre on Thursday, April 20 at 7.15pm will be used to note the schedule of events that have been organised to celebrate the coronation which takes place on Saturday, May 6.
The council will also be using the evening to consider an application for grant money from the voluntary group, We Are Whitchurch.

Financial and governance matters will also be discussed during the meeting.
Two brief verbal reports from the chairman of the Finance Advisory Group and chairman of the Health and Wellbeing Working Group will be presented to the council.
During the meeting, members of the public will be given the opportunity to speak and raise concerns and issues, and the council is expected to receive a policing update.
The public meeting will end before the town council will hold its confidential session.
