THE owners of a popular restaurant in Whitchurch have said they were delighted to see it included in the Michelin Guide for another year.

Stuart and Frances Collins have run Docket No.33 in High Street since 2017 and have been recommended by the prestigious since 2018.

They were the first people in the town to feature in the famous restaurant guide.

Docket. No 33 is one of two restaurants in Whitchurch with a Michelin rating and Frances was delighted with it.

She said: "It is amazing. It means we are keeping up the standards and it is great.

"We were the first restaurant in Whitchurch to get into the Michelin Guide.

"To have two Michelin-rated restaurants in the town is incredible."

Frances spoke about the support from people in the town.

She said: "We have had huge support from the town in general since opening in 2017.

"The restaurant has been here for some time now and we are still growing and are busy.

"We get customers from all over. They come from many different places."

The couple has also enjoyed other success with Stuart appearing on the Great British Menu in 2021 and being named the regional winner.

But they won't be stopping there as they have also put Docket No 33 forward for Best Local Restaurant nomination in the Good Food Guide.

Frances explained: "The Good Food Guide is really prestigious. It is yet to visit Whitchurch, so hopefully we can get it here and get ourselves in it as well."

She added: "It stopped for a couple of years and it was relaunched last year."

Stuart and Frances will be competing against restaurants from across the UK as part of the competition, but Frances added they were ready for the challenge.

She said: "There is a great number of people here which show us huge support. It is great.

"Last year we were up for Estrella National Restaurant Awards as well. So we went to London and competed against a lot of different restaurants, including Michelin-starred ones.

"We are definitely making strides forward. So yes, it is great."
