EASTENDERS and I'm a Celebrity star, Dean Gaffney will be the latest big name in showbiz to be visiting Whitchurch and will be taking part in a pantomime.
Mr Gaffney will be visiting the town in May and he will be performing in the pantomine Rapunzel alongside 13 year-old ventriliquist Jamie Leahey who performed with a dummy chicken, Chuck and came second on Britain's Got Talent last year.
Gaffney starred as Robbie Jackson in Eastenders, and was known for his relationship with his beloved alsatian dog Wellard.
He appeared in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2006.
The Whitchurch shows will take place over half term in May this year and will take place in the Civic Centre in High Street on Monday, May 29 with shows at either 2pm or 6pm.
Whitchurch Town Council has encouraged people to buy tickets.

Town clerk, Mike McDonald said: "We have a star casting announcement.
"Eastenders and I'm A Celebrity star hasd been added to this amazing Easter panto.
"There are many more still to be announced.
"Get your tickets now."
Tickets are £12.50 for an adult, £11.50 and £44 for a family.
