West Midlands Regional League

Premier Division

Malvern Town 1-3 Ellesmere Rangers 3

Rangers' new management pair Jamie Haynes and Kevin Sandwith's dream start continued as they made it two wins from two since taking over the reins at Beech Grove.

Their side scored three goals away from home at current leage leaders Malvern Town as they look to finish the season with a flourish following a miserable winter for the Meremen.

The copybook was blemished however by a goal against but the management duo will be buoyed by the fact Rangers are now into sixth place in the top league.

The back-to-back wins have kept Rangers' slim title hopes alive as they are just 13 points off Town who have played two games more.

However, Wolves Sporting Community have only played 19 games compared to Town's 27 and are a good bet.

This week Rangers are at home to Smethwick (3pm).

Division One

Wem Town gave their huge following a great day out in Worcester as they opened up a nine-point lead over Newport Town with a superb win.

They gave a five-star performance with goals from Jim Astley, Christian Oldham, Callum James, Mattie Cohen and Paddy Townsend.

The Wem men are on their travels again as they face Old Wulfrunians at 2pm.

Shropshire Premier League

Clee Hill United P-P Prees

The Rec Men's bid to close the gap on league leaders Oakengates Athletic was postponed as the weather claimed another Prees game.

They are seven points behind Athletic with two games in hand but will have the chance to take a huge step to the top as they entertain Athletic at the Rec on Saturday (3pm).
