Wem opening batter Harry Chandler has been named in Shropshire’s squad for the opening game of their National Counties Championship.
He will travel to Truro this weekend as Shropshire take on Cornwall in Western Division Two.
The squad also includes ex-Oswestry seamer Ben Roberts and marks the return of captain Charlie Home, who is fit again after dislocating and breaking a finger during pre-season.
Home said: "Having been on the sidelines since late on in the winter, and having watched a lot of cricket, it will be really nice to be back playing and contributing for Shropshire."

Only four players remain from the team that faced Worcestershire in the NCCA Showcase Game – Chandler, Tom Fell, Joe Stanley, and Sam Wisniewski.
The squad also includes new faces, with former Leicestershire all-rounder and Oswestry player Roman Walker and ex-Yorkshire spinner Wisniewski both in line to make their Championship debuts.
Home said: "I'm very excited for the three-day campaign and hopefully we can continue that momentum."
He said the team’s strong Twenty20 campaign had set a positive tone for the season.
Home said: "The lads had a brilliant Twenty20 group campaign, making it through to the Super 12s.
"It's a long trek down to Cornwall, but I'm pleased with the side we will be putting out. It has good balance and I'm very much looking forward to getting going."
Promotion to Western Division One is the target for this season.
Home said: "I think promotion's always the aim. I've had a chat with a number of our players and I think availability's looking good, which is always half the battle, so I see no reason why we shouldn't be aiming for promotion."
Shropshire will face Cheshire at Nantwich next month, either side of home games against Wales and Dorset.
