KIEFFER MOORE missed Wales' failed bid to reach the World Cup finals but the good news for Wrexham is that the big striker could soon be back.
Reds boss Phil Parkinson revealed that Moore, Wrexham's top scorer with 13 goals this season, is making 'really good progress' with his recovery from a hamstring injury and gave another positive update on holding midfielder Ben Sheaf's recovery from a knee problem
Whether 33-year-old target man Moore is fit for a return at West Bromwich Albion on Good Friday remains to be seen but Parkinson said: "Kieffer's making really good progress and has showed real positive signs in training which is great news."
Moore hasn't played since coming on as a second-half substitute in the 4-2 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea on March 7 and has missed four games.
Sheaf's season was feared over after suffering a serious knee injury in the 16th minute of the 5-3 Championship victory over promotion rivals Ipswich Town at the Racecourse on February 21.
But Parkinson revealed: "Ben's had his brace taken off his knee and we're pleased with his progress.
"He's been able to do straight-line running in training and, touch wood, we'll be taking it step by step, with the next step being twists and turns."
Providing updates on injuries to veteran midfielder Matty James and New Zealand left back Libby Cacace, Parkinson added: "Libby's having a rescan on his injury on Thursday while Matty's injury is more complicated that we originally though."
It's been stop-start for the wing-back Cacace since joining from Italian club Empoli last summer due to various injuries and he's been restricted to 12 Championship appearances this season while James, who has fractured his toe, hasn't played since to 2-0 home defeat to Millwall two months ago.
Wrexham have five players -Nathan Broadhead and Danny Ward (Wales), Dom Hyam (Scotland), Bailey Cadamarteri (Jamaica) and Issa Kabore (Burkina Faso) - out on international duty and they will return for training in the build-up to Friday's trip to The Hawthorns.
