PHIL PARKINSON is focussed on Wrexham trying to catch teams above them as well as pulling away from the chasing pack in the push for the play-offs.
The Reds were on FA Cup duty at the weekend and produced a brilliant performance against Premier League giants Chelsea who they pushed all the way before suffering a 4-2 fifth round defeat after extra-time.
Despite not having a Championship game, Wrexham remained in the top-six and tonight entertain Hull City, who are one place above the Reds in fifth position.
The Tigers are three points ahead of Parkinson's men who have a better goal difference so the teams would swap places if Wrexham win.
"I said to the lads that this is our chance to reel a club back into the pack, if you like, and we're going to go all out to achieve that," said the Reds' boss.
"It's a really exciting night for us, meeting a team up and around us, and similar to the Ipswich league game and the magnitude of that.
"We've got to look above us as well.
"That's the aim. We've got to get in that pack above us and this gives us an opportunity to do that.
"We've got to get a hold of the team looking over their shoulders.
"It's two good sides. Anyone who's up there at this stage of the season obviously deserves to be.
"Hull are a team who've been in the Premier League. It's going to be an exciting night and at 7.45pm, we will be ready."
Wrexham were the better team the scoreline flattered Chelsea, with opposition manager Liam Rosenior admitting his side rode their luck before progressing to the quarter-finals.
Although proud of his players' efforts against the Club World Cup champions, Parkinson says everyone is focussed on the job in hand in the league.
"I was having breakfast around the lads and I could hear the talk from the lads about the focus being right on Hull," he said.
"The FA Cup is a great distraction from the league and it's about enjoying the occasion.

"Putting the performance in to reflect what the club's all about and our history, and we've done that despite not getting the win, but everybody knows now it is a complete focus on Tuesday night.
"It's a great game. Saturday was the start of a very important week for the football club and Tuesday is stage two, so let's see where it takes us.
"Hull give up chances but they do create.
"It's about us turning up and the crowd turning up again, but I'm sure they will."
