BUDDING young girl footballers are wanted to help form a new team operating from Malpas Junior FC for the upcoming season.
The call to arms is for girls in Years 7 and 8 at secondary school, or aged 11-13, to play in the 2021/22 season.
Ed Jones, who is running the team, is hoping to see numbers to make the team a success and wants girls to come along and enjoy the sessions.
"Malpas Junior Football Club will in the next season be running a girls football team," he said.
"Girls who are currently in year groups 7 and 8 with a keen interest in playing football and would like to be part of a new team for the 2021/22 football season, please get in touch with us now.
"We normally train on Tuesdays and our games will be on Saturday mornings.
"This is an excellent opportunity for girls who really enjoy playing football.
"Ultimately we hope some of the girls will go on to play for the Malpas Women's team in the years to come and there is a clear route for girls who want to come and join us."
Anyone wishing to play can call or text Ed on 07791158205 or email malpasjfcgirls@gmail.com
