WEM overcame the weather to celebrate a 59 run win at Pelsall in the second division of the Birmingham Ptemier League.

Craig Heath and Harry Chandler combined in a 99 run opening wicket stand before Heath fell to Todd Henderson (2-26) for a top scoring 60.

Chandler was caught by Tom Boyd off James Holmes (1-34) for 43 to leave Wem on 128-2 with Mohit Kale (14), Chris Peel (14), Martyn Davies (10no) and Tom Astley (11no) guiding the visitors to 178-5 to defend despite the best efforts of Sadrian Ward (2-40).

Dan Cohen (1-24) and Andrew Harrison (1-20) struck early in reply before Tom Astley (1-11) removed Navdeep Poonia (20) before Henderson was caught by James Astley off Ben Peel (2-17) for a top scoring 46 with his side 80-4.

Kale (2-20) accounted for Jake Lee (13) with wickets from James Astley (3-16) ending Pelsall's challenge for 119 in the 23rd over.

Meanwhile Whitchurch's clash at Newport was cancelled in the Henshalls Shropshire Premier League along with Ellesmere's second division derby at Oswestry IIs, the third division clash between Wem IIs and Harpers and Calverhall's fourth division fixture at Bishop's Castle.

Iscoyd and Fenns Bank were in action, crashing to an eight wicket defeat at Condover in division four.

Duncan Wright (62) and Rhyan Jones (24) guided Iscoyd to 142-7 to defend with Alex Newman (3-22) and Joshua Lee (2-18) the pick of the home attack.

Charlie Rogers (71) and Robbie Barker (52) laid the foundations for Cound to ease to 144-2 in reply.

Meanwhile Whitchurch IIs' fifth division visit from Guilsfield and Coton Hall's sixth division home clash with Allscott Heath IIs were also victims of the weather along with Ellesmere IIs' fixture with Cae Glas IIs in division seven.
