Malpas's squad of talented youngsters have been celebrating their achievements in the Cheshire Premier League with a impromptu awards night.
The Wrexham Road side finished runners-up in the Cheshire Premier League in 2017/18 to Knutsford in one of the biggest league sin the region.
the club was supposed to attend an official league awards ceremony, but it was cancelled at the last minute, with the trophies received after the Malpas's own awards night.
But boss Tommy Lloyd decided that league top scorer Alex Hughes and teammates deserved a special night of their own.
"This was a fantastic achievement by a very young squad of predominantly local lads," said Tommy.
"The Cheshire League presentation evening was inexplicably cancelled at the last minute and the trophies were distributed last Thursday at the League AGM.
"At rather short notice we had a get together in the clubhouse on Saturday to hand out the trophies to the players available (few holidaying etc)
"As well as the runners up medals, our skipper Alex received awards for the golden boot with 41 goals and Cheshire League Player of the season as voted for by the opposing teams." The club also passed on best wishes to Martin Wild.
