A golfer is in the running to represent Europe on the international stage.
Lauren Crump, a Shropshire teenager, is currently fourth in the rankings for a place in the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup team after six out of 10 qualifying events.
The competition, a highlight on the junior golfing calendar, will be held at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands from September 7 to 8, 2026.
Anne van Dam, captain of the European team and vice-captain for the 2026 Solheim Cup, said: "The standard of these young players is incredible, and they have great determination to make the team.

"Whoever qualifies, I know we will have a very strong team, and I’m excited to lead these promising girls in my home country.
"I wish every one of them the best of luck for the last four qualifying events."
The top six players in the rankings will automatically qualify for the 12-member European team, with the remaining spots filled through captain’s picks.
Ms Crump currently sits behind Germany’s Sofia Maier-Borst, Czech Republic’s Anna Ludvová, and France’s Giselle Zhao in the standings.
In fifth and sixth place are Spain’s Amanda Revuelta Goicoechea and Switzerland’s Lana Guyot.
The teenager’s rise in the rankings was boosted by her dominant win at the ANNIKA Invitational Europe in June, where she finished 10 shots ahead of Ms Maier-Borst.
She and Ms Maier-Borst were the only two players to finish under par over three rounds in the Swedish tournament.
Four qualifying events remain before the six qualified players are confirmed on August 17, with the six Captain’s Picks announced the following day.
The next events are the European Ladies Team Championship in Ireland and the European Girls Team Championship in Switzerland, both taking place from July 7 to 11.
These will be followed by the European Ladies Amateur Championship in Sweden from July 22 to 25, with the final qualifier being the R&A Girls Amateur Championship in Scotland from August 10 to 15.
The 2026 event will mark the first time the Junior Solheim Cup is played on the same course as the main Solheim Cup.
The juniors will compete in match play over two days before staying to watch the senior edition of the competition from September 11 to 13.
Past participants of the PING Junior Solheim Cup include Van Dam and Law, Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Nelly Korda, and Lexi Thompson.
