IT WAS another frustrating weekend for Whitchurch Alport.

With no fixture again last weekend it means Saturday’s Capelli Midlands Premier League visit of Brocton to Yockings Park will be the Reds first outing since Boxing Day, almost a full calendar month without a competitive game.

Manager Jayson Starkey has boosted his forward line in the past week by bringing back Stoke City striker Tommy McNally for another month long loan spell at the club, after a successful loan earlier in the season.

Saturday will also be a double day of celebration at Yockings with two milestone appearances being celebrated, with Aaron Simms passing the 100 mark and Alex Hughes bringing up 250 appearances for the Reds, both great servants of the club

A club spokesman said: "We hope to see as many of our brilliant fans coming up to Yockings to both help us celebrate these milestones and to back Jayson and the lads as we go into 2026."
