A WHITCHURCH golfer has enjoyed a tremendous run of form - including two holes in one in just over a month.

Hill Valley Golf Club member Richard Morrey scored a hole-in-one on July 22 during a seniors match between Hill Valley and Portal on 17th hole of the Hill Valley Emerald course.

Remarkably it was the same hole where he scored a hole-in-one five weeks earlier.

The hole-in-one was announced during the post match lunch, and the Hill Valley Macdonald Hotel, Golf and Spa management awarded Richard a bottle of wine as an additional reward.

Richard followed tradition and bought drinks for his fellow teammates.

Playing partner Alan Haigh also won the closest the pin competition and summed up the day by saying: "A dream round of golf on a sunny day where we won our match and enjoyed a second hole-in-one for Richard."
