WHITCHURCH Alport Football Club's new manager is Adam Shillcock who will spearhead the club's Midlands Premier League campaign.

Shillcock returns to the club to succeed Luke Goddard who he worked alongside as a coach before departing in 2022 to become manager of Salop Leisure Shropshire League side Market Drayton Town.

Newly appointed chairman Mike Edge said: "After a thorough recruitment process, we are excited to confirm Adam's appointment as our first team manager.

“His record at Market Drayton has been impressive and I am impressed also by his leadership and plan to guide us in the future. We welcome Adam to the club and look forward to a strong remainder of the season.

"I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Jayson Starkey, Kevin Street and the players for their commitment and efforts during this interim period, and also our supporters, who have remained patient during the appointment process."
