WHITCHURCH Alport have continued their summer strengthening ahead of the new Midlands Premier League season.

The Reds have brought in five new faces while a majority of last season's squad have also committed to the cause.

Former Newtown midfielder Jordan Evans remains the stand out signature with the ex-Wrexham and Fulham player arriving at the KMJ Mortgages Stadium with a wealth of experience from spells at Bala Town and Cefn Druids.

Evans is joined at Whitchurch by brother Kieran who also came through the ranks at Wrexham and Chester before spells with Gresford Athletic and Colwyn Bay in JD Cymru North.

Whitchurch Alport are delighted to announce a further agreement for the signing of Danish defender Dennis Nielsen.

The 30 year old has played across the world, including spells in Denmark, Norway, Australia and the Faroe Islands.

Nielsen said: ā€œIā€™m really pleased and excited to have signed for Whitchurch Alport. After speaking with Luke and a few people from the club, it was made clear that we were a good match, and have the same ambitions for the upcoming season."

Manager Luke Goddard: "It's important as much as we wanted to bring in more forward players that we add some much needed experience in all areas.

"Dennis brings a professional and leadership quality that the squad will benefit from immensely and with the existing players I hope to keep in a similar position we will have the right foundations required to match our ambition."

Alport have also raided Market Drayton with Defender Joe Care joined by goalkeeper Ashley Rawlins in making the switch.

Meanwhile Jud Ellis, Dan Skelton, Jack Griffiths, Lyndon Campbell, Sean Griffiths, Alex Hughes and Aaron Simms have committed for the new season.
