WEM toasted a 55 run win at Dorridge in division two of the Birmingham Premier League on Saturday.

Harry Chandler (46) and top order support from Sam Peate (28) and Graham Wagg (25) was followed by Andrew Harrison (23no) steering Wem to 183 to defend with Jack Mills (5-12) and Perry Derrick (4-55) the pick of the attack.

Dan Cohen (5-26) and Wagg (2-28) starred in reply as Dorridge collapsed for 128 despite the efforts of Zakarya Paruk (28) and Luke James (24).

Meanwhile Whitchurch claimed a draw at Madeley in the Henshalls Shropshire Premier League.

Dan Bowen (5-51) and Kunal Dubas (2-47) dominated with only defiance from Matt Tilt (48) and Ian Walker (30) helping the hosts to 168-9 to defend.

Martin Boyle (4-51) and Imesh Udayanga (2-23) had Whitchurch on the ropes in reply but Shafiq Ahmed (43no) and Andy Jones (33) guided their side to 141-8 and a draw.

Ellesmere tasted a five wicket defeat at Knockin in division two.

Mere struggled under pressure from Ryan Darlington (3-26), Shaun Davis (3-41) and Matt Tunnadine (2-36) before Jason Wirdnam (44) guided the visitors to 156-8.

Knockin eased to 157-5 in reply with David (69) and Daniel Evans (28) starring for the hosts.

Meanwhile Wem IIs made light work of Welshpool in division three.

Nick Davies (47), Lance Parkes (40) and Matt McWhinnie (20no) helped Pool to 195-8 with Tim Leach (3-48) and David Barnett (3-39) dominating the wickets.

Oliver Cooper (77no) carried his bat in reply with Josh Gough (36), Barnett (35) and Rob Brierley (24) guiding Wem to 196-3.

Elsewhere Trysull were five wicket winners at Willey.

Dale Wilkins (3-31), Stuart Hickman (2-29) and Muhammad Asim (2-13) starred as Trysull restricted the hosts to 188 with Rich Plant (72) and Lee Jones (39) top scoring.

Usman Bari (117no) carried his bat in reply and was joined by Rehan Bari (44) in steering Trysull to 189-5 despite the efforts of Martin Ball (2-31) and Kieron Hatton (2-44).
