WHITCHURCH Alport have strengthened ahead of the new West Midlands Premier League season.
Midfielder Ivan Urvantev joins the Yockings Park club with the 24-year-old Moldovan playmaker having previously played for Romanian second tier side Ripensia Timisoara.
Urvantev has also represented Dinamo Tiraspol, FC Sheriff, Sfintul Gheorge, Zaria Balti and FC Petroclub in his native Moldova.
The Reds have also signed forward Josh Lane who joins having previously represented Nantwich Town and Sandbach United.
Also boosting the club ahead of their West Midlands League season is goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe withe 26-year-old having previous experience with Shrewsbury Town and Everton.
Alport lost 2-1 in baking conditions at home to JD Cymru Premier side Flint Town United with Alex Hughes netting for the Shropshire hosts.
