TEENAGER Isaac Vickery has been crowned national cyclo cross champion.
The 14 year old from Wem underlined his credentials by storming to glory in Kent to be crowned British National Cyclocross U14s champion.
The glory is well-deserved following a superb year.
Cyclocross is a winter sport and this year the conditions have been as tough as they get.
The sport has the reputation as one of the hardest endurance sports to compete and the hardest cycling discipline as it needs a mix of endurance and skills and most often contested in dreadful weather to make it even harder.

Isaac dominated the West Midland Cyclocross League and won all 10 races this season.
Isaac also competes nationally where there are five trophy races and then the big one - the National Championship race - a one off race where the winner is crowned the British Champion.
In the trophy races Isaac came second in Derby, fifth in South Shields, won in Torbay, ended third in Portsmouth and a poor 11th in Bradford which proved enough to secure third place in the National Trophy Series after many miles of travelling.
On Saturday it was the National Championship race held in Kent on a tough course with hurdles, steep inclines and several camber sections.
Isaac began on the front row and never looked back, switching his bike every half lap in the pits to get a clean bike with his dad frantically washing the dirty bike to exchange half a lap later.
Isaac extended his lead each lap and stayed rubber side up and crossed the line 30 seconds ahead of the Scottish champion, Guy Rouke and a further minute ahead of the National Trophy winner Josh Stewart to seal glory.
Next up the teenager has targeted the Cross Country Mountain Bike Championship and another step toward his dream of competing at the Olympics.
