WEM Cricket Club have completed two major new signings.
The Shropshire Premier League outfit have underlined their ambitions for 2025 with the arrival of Tyler Ibbotson and Alex Ollerenshaw.
A club spokesman said: “A massive Wem welcome to Tyler Ibbotson. His experience as both a player and coach will be a huge asset to the club.”
Meanwhile Ollerenshaw will need no introduction to the Soulton Road faithful and returns for a second spell.
A spokesman said: “Alex is an incredible player with experience at the high level of Birmingham League.
“Alex brings exceptional talent and energy to the squad. We’re thrilled to have him back where he belongs.”
Ibbotson is a former player and coach with Shrewsbury and has also represented Shropshire.
Opening bowler Ollerenshaw moved to Shrewsbury at the start of the 2023 season after previous Birmingham League experience with Wem.
Ollerenshaw received his first call up to play for Shropshire in the NCCA T20 competition against Staffordshire at Leek in April 2023.
His performances led to a recall for the NCCA showcase match against Yorkshire in July.
