ANDREW Harrison led a bowling masterclass as Wem celebrated a 29 run win over Dorridge in the second division of the Birmingham League.

Mohit Kale (29), Sam Peate (27) and Harry Chandler (26) led the hosts to 143 to defend with Perry Derrick (4-38) and Chris Wright (3-17) leading the wickets.

Harrison (4-29) was supported by Alex Ollerenshaw (2-28), Kale (2-19) and James Astley (2-19) in completing Dorridge’s demise for just 114 in reply with Zak Saleem (17) top scoring.

Meanwhile, Whitchurch celebrated a one wicket win over Sentinel in the Henshalls Shropshire Premier League.

Kashif Hussain (3-23) and Elliott Bowen (3-24) starred as the hosts restricted Sentinel to 161-9 after knocks from Marc Lovelock (45) and Lloyd Edwards (31).

Maisam Jaffri (24) was joined by Bowen (45) and Ryan Brown (23) in guiding the hosts to 165-9 in reply despite the efforts of Shane Gwilt (5-22).

Elsewhere, Wem Seconds fell to a four wicket defeat at Wroxeter in division three.

Dave Barnett (80) and Nick Bell (24) led Wem to 168 to defend with Ryan Fernando (2-16), Jay Salgadu (2-29), Tim Cotton (2-12) and Kamal Aluthgedara (2-25) taking wickets.

Aluthgedara (46) led the hosts to 171-6 in reply with Keith Higgins (2-7) the pick of the Wem attack.

Meanwhile, Calverhall fell to a 75 run defeat at home to Cae Glas in division four.

Ruchira Bandarage (79), Paul England (70no) and Gary Davies (50no) guided Glas to 260-3 with Ben Oakley (2-29) the pick of the attack.

Ben Lea (63no) and Oliver Griffiths (44) led Hall’s challenge in reply but Matt Coulson (2-14) ended it on 187-4.

Iscoyd and Fenns Bank made light work of Acton Reynald in division four after Jonathan Hunter (5-16) ensured the visitors closed on 104-7 with Adrian Burr (40) top scoring.

Duncan Chaplin (71no) and Rhyan Jones (32no) carried their bats in reply to steer Iscoyd to 107.

Whitchurch Seconds stormed to a 145 run win at Alberbury Thirds in division five with Dave Weaver (41) top scoring as the visitors posted 244-6. David Brunyard (5-19) led to Alberbury’s downfall for 99 in reply.

Meanwhile Wem IIIs were in Sunday League Two action and toasted an eight wicket win at home to Oswestry IVs.
