Residents in some parts of north Shropshire are without water this morning.

Customers in Wem and Myddle have woken up to find they have no water supply, poor pressure, or discoloured water.

Severn Trent said it is aware of the situation and is working to resolve it.

A statement said: "Customers in the area may be experiencing no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water this morning.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

"Our teams are working to resolve this as soon as possible."

No timeframe has been given for resolving the matter.

It comes as temperatures continue to remain high across the country, although today's high is expected to me 25C according to the Met Office, in comparison to Friday's 32C.
