He was supported by Kieran Gill, who smashed an unbeaten 74 from 61 balls.
Ryan Lockley, coach of the Shropshire Academy, said: "I think we were fairly confident at halfway having restricted them to 255.
"As a group, we thought they had got away in the last 10 overs and probably got another 25, 35 more runs than we thought they should have.
"We didn't quite hit our lengths and bowl to the appropriate fields that we wanted set, so it didn't quite go to plan in the last 10 overs."
Harry Chandler led the Academy’s chase.
He scored 94 from 86 balls as part of an opening stand of 131 with Chad Brandrick.
But the side slipped to 160-5 as wickets began to fall.
Morgan Ward’s 54 and Ben Roberts’ 45 kept the Academy in contention.
They were left needing 13 from the final over.
Roberts launched the first ball for six but was run out off the penultimate ball of the match while trying to keep the strike.
Mr Lockley said: "It was a fantastic game for the neutral and it was great to see so many young lads playing, a fair amount of under-19s, so that can only be good for the future of Shropshire cricket."
