Oswestry and Wem all‑rounders led the way in the Tizer/Herald Fantastic Five, the combined weekly pick of standout bat and ball performances from the Shropshire County Cricket League programme.
At Davenport Park, Josh Coleridge delivered arguably the weekend’s most complete display as Oswestry crushed Worfield by 150 runs.
He hit 86 in a towering 407-5 total, helping to drive the innings past 400, then followed up with 4-44 in the reply to rip out a live chase from 219-4 to 257 all out, shaping both innings.

Wem’s home win over Newtown in the Premier Division was built almost entirely on the twin efforts of Tom Astley and Ralph Davies, who also feature in the Fantastic Five.
Newtown were 128-5 and still in the game before Astley’s 5-49 and Davies’ 5-30 combined to dismantle the innings, leaving them 140 all out and dragging the total down to a manageable DLS target.
In the lower tiers, two batting anchors complete this week’s Fantastic Five.
For Oswestry IIs, Steve Humphreys struck 89 in a 241-5 total that proved just enough in a derby decided by only two runs against Cae Glas, setting up a tense but successful defence.
And for Knockin IIs, James Hearle finished 77 not out from 73 balls in a nine‑wicket win over Bishop’s Castle, controlling a chase of 124 to make sure earlier bowling efforts were converted into a straightforward victory.
