Residents gathered at Whitchurch Cricket Club to mark Armed Forces Day and "show appreciation" for those who protect the country.

People came together to thank those who have served and continue to serve in the UK's Armed Forces.

The event united the community with a "spirit of remembrance, gratitude, and support for veterans, serving personnel, reservists, cadets, and their families".

Visitors reflected on the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces and the day celebrated their dedication and commitment.

The event took place on Saturday, June 27, and saw a strong turnout.

This signified the town's continued respect and support for Armed Forces.
