A LED advertising screen is being proposed near to a post office in a north Shropshire town.

Documents have been submitted to Shropshire Council seeking permission for the screen to be on a wall at 7a Green End in Whitchurch.

An application form submitted by Justin Bates, an agent representing the applicant, state that the aim is for the screen to be in place from September 1, lasting until June 26, 2036.

It will be three metres high and two metres wide, said Mr Bates.

The screen will be illuminated, but Mr Bates said the illuminance levels are to be confirmed.

Anyone who wishes to comment about the application (reference 26/02137/ADV) can do so via Shropshire Council’s planning portal.

The consultation period expires on July 7.
