Tesco has issued a warning to customers to check their Clubcard accounts.
A total of £17 million worth of vouchers are set to expire by the end of May, with shoppers encouraged to use them before they become invalid.
The vouchers, originally issued in May 2024, will expire at 11.59pm on May 31.
Shama Wilson, Tesco’s group membership and loyalty director, said: “This is a big quarter for Clubcard voucher expiry, with more than £17 million of vouchers due to expire at the end of May.
“Using your Clubcard vouchers for discounts on food at one of our restaurant partners, for savings on days out at locations across the UK, towards a railcard, or for savings on hotel bookings are all great ways to save money this half term, so I’d encourage everyone to check their Clubcard account to see if they have any vouchers to use up.”

Clubcard holders receive vouchers every three months – in February, May, August, and November – and each voucher is valid for two years from the date of issue.
Tesco shoppers earn one Clubcard point for every £1 spent in-store or online, or for every £2 spent on fuel at Tesco petrol stations.
I love Tesco Clubcard, at least it takes away some pennies.
Sometimes I feel they hike the price and then offer the real price as a clubcard discount, or am I tripping ?😭 pic.twitter.com/IbFvxFc03g— TobyWrites (@tobyasky) May 5, 2026
Points can also be collected via Tesco Bank credit cards and with selected partner brands.
Once a customer accumulates 150 points, they are converted into a £1.50 voucher.
These vouchers can be spent in-store at Tesco or exchanged for greater value rewards with Tesco’s partner schemes.
Partners include Pizza Express, Vue Cinemas, Alton Towers, and Legoland, where vouchers can sometimes be doubled or even tripled in value.
How to extend your Tesco Clubcard vouchers
Tesco has suggested a simple way for customers to extend their vouchers.
By making a small purchase using a Clubcard voucher through the Tesco website, the remaining balance will be credited back to the customer’s account and reissued with a new expiry date, giving a further two years to use the value.
With an estimated 24 million Clubcard users across the UK, Tesco is urging shoppers to review their accounts and use any expiring vouchers before the deadline to avoid losing out.
Shoppers who are unsure about their voucher balance can check by logging into their Tesco Clubcard account online.
