A national art exhibition is set to return this May.

The Ellesmere National Art Exhibition will take place at Ellesmere College’s Big School Hall in partnership with Nightingale House Hospice.

It opens with an invitation-only preview evening on Wednesday, May 27, before opening to the public from Thursday, May 28, to Saturday, May 30.

Stephanie Eufemia, who will headline the exhibition, said: "I’m delighted to be part of this year’s Ellesmere Art Exhibition, particularly in such a beautiful local setting.

"My work is rooted in observing the shifting light and atmosphere of the landscape, and exhibitions like this create a space for people to slow down and connect with those moments.

"It’s especially meaningful to be involved in an event that also supports the vital work of Nightingale House Hospice."

Renowned for its quality and variety, the exhibition will feature original works from both emerging and established artists.

Names include Graham Cox RCA and Barbara Goolden.

Visitors will be able to view and purchase artworks in watercolours, oils, sculpture and mixed media.

A range of styles will be on display, including still life, portraiture, landscapes and abstract pieces.

Beyond its artistic focus, the exhibit serves as a fundraiser for Nightingale House Hospice.

The event raises funds for palliative and end-of-life care services.

Liv Beckett, director of communications and events at Nightingale House Hospice, said: "We’re delighted to be partnering with Ellesmere College to support this much-loved exhibition.

"As well as celebrating outstanding artwork, it helps shine a light on hospice care in our region and raises vital funds that directly support local patients and families.

"We would encourage everyone to come along, explore the exhibition, and support this fantastic event."

Stephanie Eufemia, who rose to national attention through her appearance on Landscape Artist of the Year, offers a contemporary approach to landscape art.

Her work has been praised for its exploration of light, atmosphere and a strong sense of place.

The Ellesmere National Art Exhibition promises an accessible and enriching experience for collectors and casual visitors alike.
