A Whitchurch art hub has received funding to improve its facilities.

The grant, from the council and the Rotary Club, will go towards making the Art and Craft Hub more accessible for resources and classes.

Whixall joiner Alaister Edwards has installed a mezzanine staircase and railings, allowing volunteers to store art and craft materials.

Mayor Rose Hall came to officially open it last weekend.

The hub hosts accessible art and craft sessions for the community, with classes led by Birmingham-based artist Paul Seven and other local talents.

They also offer children's classes and free wellbeing sessions for cancer patients, sponsored by Lingen Davies.
