A restaurant has been named one of Europe’s most pioneering.

Wild Shropshire in Whitchurch was included in the 360° Eat Guide’s Top 25 Pioneers in Europe 2026, which celebrates restaurants leading the way in sustainability, seasonality, and responsible sourcing.

The European recognition follows its recent accolade as one of the Top 10 Pioneering Restaurants in England 2026.

The restaurant, known for its seasonal tasting menus, prioritises British ingredients, foraging, and low-waste cooking.

James Sherwin, head chef at Wild Shropshire, said: "Being included in the 360° Eat Guide’s Top 25 Pioneers in Europe is a real honour.

"We’re a small team, and we try to do things the right way – cooking with the seasons, respecting ingredients, and working closely with the people who grow, rear, and produce the food we serve.

"We’re grateful to be recognised alongside so many restaurants we admire."

Wild Shropshire’s tasting menus change frequently, shaped by what’s in season and what’s available locally - with an emphasis on British ingredients, foraging, and low-waste cookery.

Dishes often include foraged ingredients, and the kitchen uses a low-waste approach.
