A former Whitchurch man has been sentenced after he admitted making indecent images of children

Anthony Rollins received a community order when he was brought before Telford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (September 10).

The 60-year-old had pleaded guilty in June to four charges of making one category A - the most extreme - image, one category B image, two category B images, and 18 category C images.

All the offences took place in Whitchurch between June 27, 2023, and July 16, 2024.

Rollins, now of Halsbury Road in Liverpool, received a two-year community order which will include 20 rehabilitation days.

He will also be on the sex offenders' register for five years and made the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order.

Rollins was fined £100 for the category A image and must pay £85 court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
