A farm vet in Whitchurch who is committed to keeping livestock healthy has been recognised with a national award.

Laura Roberts, from LLM Farm Vets in Whitchurch, was named Young Dairy Vet of the Year at the 2025 Dairy Industry Trade Cream Awards, organised by British Dairying magazine.

The judges were impressed by the high level of customer care she provides to her clients, as well as her support for the wider dairy industry.

Laura, who lives on a dairy farm in Ruthin, North Wales, has worked at LLM Farm Vets for four years since graduation.

Although based at the Whitchurch site, she spends most of her time on the road, visiting farms across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and North Wales.

Aside from her veterinary duties, Laura is on the board of the British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA), where she discusses important topics affecting the farming industry.

Laura is also committed to expanding her knowledge to better support her clients.
