A north Shropshire tutor is launching a series of courses to help those wanting to get into creative writing.
Kate Long, from Whitchurch, is a Sunday Times bestselling novelist who has written for TV and for a range of national newspapers and magazines, including the Telegraph and BBC Wildlife.
She will be running the short courses in Oswestry and Shrewsbury through North Shropshire College to help those taking part to develop their writer's voice.
In the four-week course, Kate will guide students through character generation and development, and different methods of planning and structuring a story.
And in the six-week course, Kate will look at beginnings and endings, effective dialogue, setting and description, and finally, how students might publish work.
There will be plenty of opportunity for students to share and to ask questions and experiment with their writing. All levels are welcome, including beginners.
