IT IS all change at an Ellesmere charity as two new members of staff were welcomed to support the group, all thanks to a community social media page.
The Sequal Trust, a communication aid charity based in Ellesmere, recently welcomed two new members of staff in Claire Orr and Jenny Edge.
This, according to charity manager Meryl Parsons, was completed after turning to the town’s community Facebook page to source both new members of staff to cover long-term retirements.

And it worked again as a third new member of staff was also found.
Meryl explained how she went about re-staffing her charity with much-needed new blood in all three.
She said: “Because of the retirement of two long-standing members of staff, I urgently needed to find replacements and turned to the Ellesmere Community Facebook page for help.
“The two successful applicants were Claire and Jenny, who say they are both delighted to be part of such a worthwhile cause.
“Following on from this success, when the computer system needed updating, Meryl once again turned to the Ellesmere Community and found local computer whizz John Hodgson from “Dudleston Heath.”
The Sequal Trust was established 55 years ago and has been based in Ellesmere for over 25 years.
Meryl added that the Trust is there to support people improve in physical media with fundraising carried out by the team in Ellesmere.
She said that more help is always wanted by them and anyone looking to support the fundraising can get in touch.
“We have helped thousands of people by supplying them with varied communications aids, ranging from iPads to sophisticated eye operated systems,” said Meryl.
