A SMALL tree, hedge and undergrowth fire prompted firefighters to be called out in Ellesmere on Tuesday afternoon.
One crew from the town was sent to Berwyn View at around 4.25pm after reports of a fire in the open.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman confirmed that firefighters tackled the blaze.
They said: “This incident involved one small tree, hedge and undergrowth on fire measuring approximately two-metres squared.
“Crews used one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and checked for safe temperatures using a thermal imaging camera.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control at 4.50pm to confirm no further help was needed.
