FLINTSHIRE and Wrexham residents are being encouraged to tell us which 20mph roads should be reverted back to 30.

The Welsh Government's Transport Secretary, Ken Skates, has announced a plan for "targeted change" of the 20mph policy in Wales.

Mr Skates said the Welsh Government will be working with local authorities to identify which roads should revert back to 30mph.

Flintshire and Wrexham residents are being urged to contact The Leader with suggestions for roads where 20mph is inappropriate.

The Leader will be drawing up a list of roads which are suggested the most - which will then be passed on to Mr Skates.

MORE NEWS:

Mr Skates has said he will be spending the next two months out and about speaking to people and seeing at first hand which roads the 20mph law works and which roads need to be reverted back.  He wants to visit as many  locations as possible to speak to motorists and resident living there about the road's 20mph limit and its effects.

Flintshire and Wrexham residents are therefore urged to email news@leaderlive.co.uk with their suggestions.

The Transport Secretary added: “Ultimately, the degree of change in each of our 22 local authority areas will not be determined by me and the Welsh Government, but by the public and by councils as the highway authority for most residential roads.”
