A BIN fire prompted firefighters to be called out in Prees on Monday night.

One crew from the village was sent to manor Place, in Higher heath, shortly before 6.45pm after reports of a bin fire.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman confirmed firefighters tackled the fire.

They said: “Crews used a hosereel jet, rakes, shovels, mathooks and a thermal imaging camera to put out the fire.

“One domestic bin was on fire.”

A stop message to SFRS control, confirming no further support was required, was sent around 20 minutes after arrival.
