Traffic is disrupted after emergency crews were called to a crash just outside Whitchurch.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent their Whitchurch crew to help clear a crash in Prees Heath this afternoon (March 29).

According to the service the crash involved two cars who collided at around 2.15pm this afternoon on the A41.

Thankfully it has been confirmed that no one was trapped in their vehicles.

According to available information, traffic in the area appears to be moving slowly but has not come to a stop and the road appears to be open at this time.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 2.18pm on Friday, March, 29, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Whitchurch.

"One fire appliance was mobilised from Whitchurch.

"Crews used small gear to deal with the incident.

"The road traffic collision involving two privately owned cars. No persons were trapped and crew made vehicle electrically safe."
