TRAFFIC is heavy on a major north Shropshire road after a two-car road traffic collision (RTC) on Wednesday morning.

Drivers using the A49 near Clive, between Wem and Shrewsbury, will face long delays as officers from Wem Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) clear up the situation.

A spokesman for Wem SNt said that two vehicles were involved in the collision.

They said: “Wem SNT are currently dealing with a two vehicle RTC on the A49 between Lee Brockhurst and Grinshill.”

One vehicle was left with much of his font bumper and with serious damage to the front wheels.

The traffic monitoring website Inrix has warned that that there is now heavy traffic in the area.
