THE MET Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain this weekend, which is set to affect most of the country, including Oswestry and surrounding areas.
The warning is set to come into place tomorrow, Saturday, February 17, at 3pm and is set to last over 24 hours, ending on Sunday, February 18 at 6pm.
The officials have also warned of disruptions.
They said: “Spells of rain, some heavy, will push east across most areas through Saturday and Sunday.
“Some disruption is likely.
“Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.
“Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.

“Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
“Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.”
The Environment Agency also have a flood alert in place for the Severn Vyrnwy confluence - where the rivers Vyrnwy and Severn meet.
Some of the locations expected to be affected are Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley.
A spokesperson said: “We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. Further rainfall is also forecast for Saturday, February 17, which may keep levels elevated and cause river levels to rise again at the Llanymynech river gauge.
“We are closely monitoring the situation.
“Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water.”
