A WHITCHURCH-based estate agency has opened its first High Street shop after six years of continuous growth.

Get Moving Estate Agents opened on January 2, 2018, in a “small, basic” home office.

Saul Mellor said when they saw they had a three-week waiting list that they “knew” they needed to expand.

Now the firm has completed its move into premises in the town's High Stgreet.

He added: “When we opened our doors for business, we opened with a small basic home office, a very little budget in the bank but the drive and passion to make it work.

“Six years on we have grown and grown beyond any of our own expectations into an award-winning agency and are so excited to be able to open our first High Street branch with a great team of staff to enable the company to continue to expand.

“At one point we had a three-week waiting list of customers so knew we needed to make some expansion.”

The business has now moved to 29 High Street and has more plans of expanding with a hot drinks/ice cream takeaway bar, which is now pending approval from Shropshire Council.

Saul was accompanied by his wife Sarah, his son Leo, and Sally and Ant, on behalf of their late father, at the opening.

He added: “We wouldn’t be where we are today without all the support, we get from everyone, we say it a lot but we are truly forever grateful to each and every one person who was used us, recommended us and supported us over the past six years.

“We hope to help even more people than ever this year to “get moving” and welcome you all to pop in to see the branch and meet the team.

“Of course Leo cut the ribbon but a Huge thank you to Sally and Ant for being a part of the grand opening and holding the ribbon on behalf of their late father who was by far our biggest lettings customer in our first two years and especially our first two months.”
